Open Call for Participation in the Live Performances of the 8th IFPA
September 24 – 27, 2026 / Drama, Greece
Theme: “Post-Anthropocene: Libidinal Foldings”
As part of this year’s edition, the International Forum of Performance Art (IFPA) invites artists and collectives from Greece and abroad to submit proposals for live performances. Submitted works are expected to engage creatively with the central theme: “Post-Anthropocene: Libidinal Foldings”, exploring the hybrid nature of the body and its libidinal transitions within a post-digital reality.
The call focuses on the redefinition of identity, desire, and the living experience as a radical poetic-political act in the face of scientific and technological evolution. We encourage performances that navigate the fluid boundaries between the human and the non-human, the physical and the artificial, reflecting on the (re)construction of subjectivity through the “foldings” of the body—whether in physical space or through technological mediation.
We welcome experimental, interdisciplinary, and hybrid formats that challenge normative perceptions, deconstruct binary structures, and propose new performative languages within the emergent territories of the Post-Anthropocene.
Guidelines for Submission:
The proposed performance should have a maximum duration of 45 minutes.
Submissions must include the following:
- Title and a short description of the performance (up to 300 words)
- Artist biography (up to 200 words)
- A brief portfolio or link to previous work
Proposals will be evaluated by the Artistic Director of IFPA.
Deadline for submissions: June 14th, 2026
