Holding Shards is a performance-to-camera video work exploring iconoclasm, loss, and the hope of transformation. The protagonist is a smashed stained-glass saint, who inhabits a series of abandoned locations, performing gestures of tenderness, lament and wonder. The work points to the role of the spaces we inhabit in the healing of trauma, and the potential for starting anew.
