Open Call for Participation in the Forum of the 7th IFPA

Theme: Homoio-topias / “return to the chōra”
The IFPA invites theorists, researchers, curators, academics, and artist-researchers to submit proposals for oral presentations in the theoretical Forum of the 7th IFPA, exploring themes related to performativity, spatiality, subjectivity, and artistic practice.
This year’s edition is titled “Homoio-topias / return to the chōra”, drawing inspiration from the Platonic dialogue Timaeus and Julia Kristeva’s semiotic theory. The concept of the chōra as an in-between, generative space—neither idea nor matter—is reconsidered as a transitional condition for creation, where theory becomes embodied practice.
The Forum seeks to engage with this chōra as a space of transformation and articulation: poetic, political, and embodied. It invites critical perspectives on heterotopias and their unifying tendencies—homoio-topias—as emergent constellations within physical, social, and digital territories.

- Duration: up to 15 minutes
- Language: English or Greek
- A full written paper is not required
Deadline for submissions: June 15th, 2025
All submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of the Forum.
